Product types

A product type is a reusable template for financial accounts. Each type has:

  • a lowercase key containing letters, numbers, or underscores;
  • Czech and English names;
  • a default asset class;
  • default liquidity;
  • a default setting for tracking deposits and withdrawals.

When you choose the type while creating an account, Hugo applies these defaults. You can still review and change them on that account.

Entities

Entities separate ownership—for example, personal assets, a household, or a company. Create an Entity with a name and optional note, then assign institutions, physical assets, and liabilities to it.

When more than one active Entity exists, the Overview shows an Entity filter. All (combined) aggregates them.

Entities may be Premium-only or hidden, depending on platform configuration. Archiving an Entity preserves its data. Do not use Entities to duplicate the same asset in multiple ownership views.
