Terms of Service

The terms governing personal access to and use of the Hugo financial tracking service.

Last updated: July 29, 2026
Legal documents Privacy Policy Terms of Service Cookie Policy Refund Policy Security & Privacy

1. Who provides Hugo

Hugo is operated by:

RevOps Labs s.r.o.
Company ID (IČO): 21705534
VAT ID (DIČ): CZ21705534
Registered office: Hlaváčkova 1334/19, Košíře, 150 00 Prague, Czech Republic
Registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, file no. C 405326
Email: support@meethugo.co

In these Terms, RevOps Labs s.r.o. is referred to as the “Provider”, and the Hugo application and related services are referred to as the “Service.”

2. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended exclusively for natural persons aged 18 or older who use it for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

Hugo is not currently offered as a business or professional service. You may not register or use the Service on behalf of a company, employer, client or other legal entity.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you are using Hugo as a consumer for personal purposes;
  • the registration information you provide is accurate.

3. What Hugo does

Hugo is a personal finance tracking and reflection tool. It allows you to manually record and review information such as:

  • financial accounts and products;
  • physical and alternative assets;
  • liabilities;
  • recurring income and costs;
  • net worth history;
  • investment performance;
  • financial health metrics;
  • currency exposure;
  • financial goals;
  • cash flow scenarios;
  • financial projections;
  • optional AI-generated financial reflections.

Hugo does not connect to your bank accounts and does not automatically retrieve your bank transactions. You decide which information to enter and are responsible for keeping it accurate and reasonably up to date.

Features may differ between the Free and Premium plans. The current scope of each plan is shown on meethugo.co and within the Service.

4. Hugo is not financial advice

Hugo provides information, calculations, scenarios and educational context. It does not provide regulated investment, financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.

Hugo does not:

  • tell you which financial instrument to buy or sell;
  • assess whether a particular investment is suitable for you;
  • execute transactions;
  • manage your money;
  • guarantee a financial outcome;
  • replace a qualified professional who understands your complete circumstances.

You remain responsible for your financial decisions. Before making a significant financial, investment, tax or legal decision, you should consider obtaining advice from a suitably qualified professional.

This section does not exclude the Provider’s responsibility for ensuring that the Service itself works in accordance with these Terms and mandatory consumer law.

5. Calculations, AI insights and projections

5.1 Calculations

Calculations shown by Hugo depend on:

  • the data you enter;
  • the selected settings and assumptions;
  • available exchange-rate, inflation and market-reference data;
  • the methodology described within the Service.

An output may be incomplete or misleading if the underlying information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

5.2 AI insights

Some Premium features use artificial intelligence to turn aggregated financial context into a written reflection.

AI-generated insights may contain errors, omissions or interpretations that are not appropriate for your individual circumstances. They should be treated as a starting point for reflection, not as an instruction or professional recommendation.

Hugo identifies AI-generated content within the Service.

5.3 Projections

Financial projections and what-if scenarios are illustrations based on assumptions and historical information. Actual investment returns, inflation, exchange rates, income, expenses and life circumstances may differ materially from the assumptions.

A projected amount or date is not a promise, forecast or guarantee.

6. Account security and acceptable use

You must take reasonable steps to protect your login credentials and account.

You must not:

  • share access credentials with another person;
  • attempt to access another user’s account or data;
  • interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
  • use automated tools to overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Service;
  • upload unlawful content;
  • use the Service for fraud, money laundering or other unlawful activity.

You are not responsible for unauthorized use that occurs without fault on your part. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@meethugo.co without delay.

7. Free and Premium plans

Hugo is available through:

  • a Free plan with selected portfolio limits;
  • a paid Premium subscription with additional functionality.

Current features, limits and prices are displayed before registration or purchase.

A time-limited Premium trial may occasionally be granted. Unless otherwise stated before the trial begins, the account returns to the Free plan when the trial expires and is not charged automatically.

8. Payments through Paddle

Paid Hugo subscriptions are sold through Paddle, which acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record.

This means:

  • you purchase the Premium subscription from Paddle;
  • Paddle charges your payment method;
  • Paddle issues the transaction confirmation and invoice;
  • Paddle calculates, collects and remits applicable VAT or other sales taxes;
  • Paddle administers payment-related refunds, chargebacks and subscription billing;
  • your payment transaction is also governed by the current Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy.

RevOps Labs s.r.o. remains responsible for operating Hugo, making the purchased features available and providing product support.

If you contact us about a billing issue, we may assist you and coordinate with Paddle. Any monetary refund must be processed by Paddle as the seller of record; RevOps Labs does not issue a separate invoice or refund the payment directly.

9. Renewal and cancellation

Premium subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual recurring basis, as shown during checkout.

Unless cancelled, the subscription renews automatically for another billing period. Paddle charges the payment method associated with the subscription.

You may cancel through:

  • the subscription-management area in Hugo;
  • the Paddle buyer portal linked from your purchase confirmation;
  • Paddle buyer support;
  • support@meethugo.co, if you need assistance.

Cancellation prevents the next renewal. Unless mandatory law or an approved refund provides otherwise, Premium access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.

10. Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. The applicable withdrawal process, including any consent to immediate access to the digital product, is presented during Paddle Checkout and governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms, Refund Policy and mandatory law.

To request withdrawal or a payment refund, you may:

  • use Paddle buyer support at paddle.net;
  • contact support@meethugo.co, and we will assist with routing the request.

Where a refund is approved, it is returned by Paddle to the original payment method.

Nothing in these Terms or in our separate Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

11. Service conformity and complaints

The Provider is responsible for ensuring that Hugo conforms to:

  • these Terms;
  • the applicable product description;
  • properties that a consumer may reasonably expect from a service of this kind;
  • mandatory requirements applying to digital services.

If the Service is defective, you may contact support@meethugo.co. Please describe:

  • the affected feature;
  • what happened;
  • when it happened;
  • the result you expected;
  • any relevant screenshot or error message.

We will confirm receipt and investigate the complaint within a reasonable period appropriate to the nature and purpose of the Service.

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the defect, you may be entitled to:

  • have the defect remedied;
  • receive a proportionate reduction in price;
  • terminate the affected contract;
  • receive another remedy required by mandatory law.

We may ask for reasonable cooperation needed to reproduce and diagnose the problem.

12. Availability and third-party services

Hugo depends on carefully selected third-party infrastructure, including hosting, database, authentication, payment, exchange-rate and AI providers.

We aim to keep the Service available and secure, but do not promise that it will operate without every interruption or temporary error. Availability may be affected by:

  • planned maintenance;
  • emergency security work;
  • internet or telecommunications failures;
  • outages or incidents affecting third-party infrastructure;
  • events outside our reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, we will:

  • select appropriate service providers;
  • monitor material dependencies;
  • take reasonable steps to restore affected functionality;
  • communicate material or extended incidents;
  • provide an available remedy where required by mandatory consumer law.

A third-party incident does not automatically remove the Provider’s responsibility for the conformity of Hugo. Any rights you have under mandatory consumer law remain unaffected.

13. Changes and updates to the Service

We may update the Service to:

  • improve functionality or usability;
  • fix errors;
  • maintain security;
  • comply with legal or regulatory requirements;
  • adapt to changes in third-party infrastructure;
  • add, remove or modify features where reasonably necessary for the continued operation of the Service.

Necessary security and conformity updates may be applied without prior notice where immediate action is required.

If a change materially and negatively affects a paid feature, we will provide clear advance notice where reasonably possible. Where required by law, you will have the right to terminate the affected subscription or receive another applicable remedy.

14. Suspension and termination

We may temporarily restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to:

  • protect the security of the Service or its users;
  • investigate suspected unauthorized access or fraud;
  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • address a material breach of these Terms.

Where appropriate, we will notify you and allow a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach. Immediate action may be taken where delay would create a security, legal or financial risk.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion can be requested through the available account or privacy tools or by emailing support@meethugo.co.

Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions. Deleting an account does not necessarily reverse a payment already processed by Paddle.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits:

  • rights available under mandatory consumer law;
  • responsibility for defects or non-conformity that cannot legally be excluded;
  • liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence;
  • liability for harm to natural rights;
  • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

The Provider is not responsible for an inaccurate result to the extent that it was caused by inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information entered by you, provided that the Service otherwise processed the information correctly.

The Provider is not responsible merely because:

  • an actual financial result differs from a scenario or projection;
  • a market, exchange rate or inflation measure develops differently from an assumption;
  • you make a financial decision that produces an unfavorable result where the Service operated correctly and did not present the output as professional advice or a guaranteed outcome.

Subject to mandatory law, the Provider is responsible only for loss that was reasonably foreseeable when the contract was concluded and that was caused by the Provider’s breach of these Terms or applicable law.

This section does not affect the remedies available for a defective digital service.

16. Intellectual property

The software, design, branding, text and other materials forming part of Hugo are owned by or licensed to the Provider.

You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service for the duration of your account and solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

17. Your data

The financial information you enter remains yours.

You authorize the Provider to store, process and display it only as necessary to:

  • provide and secure the Service;
  • generate features you request;
  • provide support;
  • comply with applicable law.

Further details are provided in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary because of:

  • changes in law or regulation;
  • changes to the Service;
  • security requirements;
  • changes to payment or infrastructure providers;
  • clarification of existing provisions.

We will notify you of a material change by email or through the Service before it takes effect.

If a material change negatively affects an ongoing paid subscription, you may cancel before the change becomes effective. Any additional rights required by mandatory law remain unaffected.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Czech law.

If you live in another country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections available under the law of your habitual residence.

Disputes may be heard by Czech courts, except where mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules permit or require proceedings before a court in another country. In particular, an EU consumer may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority is competent for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution:

Czech Trade Inspection Authority
Štěpánská 567/15
120 00 Prague 2
Czech Republic
www.coi.cz

Consumers in another EU member state may also contact the competent alternative-dispute-resolution body in their country.

20. Final provisions

If part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive the right to enforce it later.

The current version of these Terms is available at meethugo.co.

Questions about the Service or these Terms may be sent to support@meethugo.co.
